Realtime online functions of the Multichoice-IV PCI \/ USB series<\/h1>

The measurement cards of the MultiChoice-IV series are able, thanks to the signal processor on the measurement cards, to post-process the recorded measured values \u200b\u200bin real time during the acquisition.<\/h3>\n

If further processing of measured values \u200b\u200bis required during data acquisition, these functions can be outsourced to the hardware thanks to the high level of intelligence of the measuring cards. This significantly relieves the measuring PC system. Furthermore, the processing of the measured values \u200b\u200bis carried out in real time, since each measured value goes through the processing immediately after the acquisition before it is passed on. The latency times between an event that has occurred and the subsequent reaction are in the microsecond range thanks to the use of the signal processor. Such a fast control, regulation and reaction can never be realized without own intelligence on the measuring card. Since the cards of the MC4PCI series are equipped with up to two separate processors,<\/p>\n

The MultiChoice-IV (PCI \/ USB) cards offer a number of the following functions with the available drivers. All online functions can be cascaded as required,
\nso that, for example, the filtered measurement data can be triggered or filtering after calculating an FFT.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Analoge Trigger<\/b><\/a><\/td>\nTrigger functions offer monitoring of the measured values \u200b\u200bfor configurable thresholds. When a trigger condition is met, measurements can be started or stopped, and digital outputs can be set to trigger external events. The triggers of the Multichoice PCI series are able to react to occurring events in real time.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Filter (FIR and IIR)<\/b><\/a><\/td>\nFilters are used to reduce unwanted interference in a useful signal. The filters remove certain frequency components of the overall signal and are thus able to improve the result of the measurement. The filters can be freely set, since the calculation of the required coefficients takes place dynamically; there is no restriction to certain standard filters.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
FFT<\/b><\/a><\/td>\nThe FFT converts the analog signal from the time level to the frequency level. A continuous signal is no longer visible, but the individual sine waves with amplitude and frequency that make up the time signal.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Online-PWM and -FM<\/b><\/a><\/td>\nIf phase-controlled or segment-controlled actuators are to be controlled via analog measured values, for example from a flow meter, then a scaling between analog measured values \u200b\u200band the associated pulse width or frequency modulation must take place. This scaling and the immediate output of the new values \u200b\u200bcan be done directly on the measurement card. For this purpose, the minimum and maximum pulse width or frequency as well as the associated analog measured value range are specified. The scaling is linear and equidistant.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Characteristic scaling<\/a><\/strong><\/td>\nThe characteristic curve scaling enables the real analog measured values \u200b\u200bto be scaled and projected onto any functions. The characteristic curve is defined by a flexible number of equidistant support points, between which linear scaling is performed based on the analog measured values. By defining the sequence, the scaled measured values \u200b\u200bcan also be filtered or triggered.
